Dental Care Professional (DCP) titles refer to Dental hygienist, Dental therapist, Orthodontic therapist, and Dental nurse. In order to work on these titles, one needs to have registration with the General Dental Council, UK.
This page is useful if you lie in the following two conditions:
If you hold a primary degree in any of the dental care professional courses.
If you have applied for DCP titles before the 8th of march
As per the latest guidelines published by GDC, the applicants must have the primary qualification of DCP titles in their home country to apply in the UK. From 8th March onwards, overseas dentists can no more apply for these titles and are not eligible to register themselves.
